This blog was created as part of the Erasmus Mundus Crossways in Cultural Narratives Masters programme, which is the only one of the EU approved and funded Erasmus Mundus Masters programmes to specialise in traditional humanities with a modern languages background. The Crossways Consortium comprises 6 top-class European universities.

For further information, please check the programme's official website and the universities' websites on the Useful Links section on the left. If you wish to have a specific question answered, please click on Email here and submit your query.

Mundus students, here you will find regular posts regarding the universities of the consortium, tips, activities, events, pictures, etc. Apart from checking it regularly to keep yourself up to date, a good way to use the blog is through the search device. We already have a significant amount of information on some universities of the consortium, so if you want to find information on a specific city, type its name in the search field (top left). You will then see all posts related to that specific city (because each post title contains the city's name in it). You can also type "General" in order to find information concerning everybody.

Il Dipartimento di Scienze dei Linguaggi, della Comunicazione e degli Studi Culturali dell’Università di Bergamo organizza il seminario Cinema Crossways: il mondo attraverso i film in collaborazione con il festival CINELATINO.

Nuovi film dall’America Latina. Promosso dalla Cattedra di Letterature Ispano americane e da alcuni studenti del Master Erasmu Mundus Crossways in European Humanities, il seminario si propone come momento di riflessione sul cinema latinoamericano e sulla cultura dell’immagine.

Mercoledì 12 maggio alle ore 15 (Aula 3, via Salvecchio) aprirà il seminario Ferdinando Scianna, uno dei nomi più grandi della fotografia italiana, con un intervento dal titolo Ambigua obiettività dedicato al costante e dubbio oscillare tra istanza documentaria e finzione immaginaria dell’immagine. Per l’occasione sarà presentato l’ultimo libro del fotografo Etica e fotogiornalismo (Electa, 2010), a cui farà seguito la proiezione del film María llena eres de gracia (regia: Joshua Marston, Colombia, 2004) Il seminario proseguirà giovedì 13 alle ore 15 (Aula 1, via Salvecchio) con la proiezione dei film Citade de Deus (regia: Fernando Meirelles, Brasile, 2002) e XXY (regia: Lucia Puenzo, Argentina, 2007).
