Welcome

This blog was created as part of the Erasmus Mundus Crossways in Cultural Narratives Masters programme, which is the only one of the EU approved and funded Erasmus Mundus Masters programmes to specialise in traditional humanities with a modern languages background. The Crossways Consortium comprises 6 top-class European universities.

For further information, please check the programme's official website and the universities' websites on the Useful Links section on the left. If you wish to have a specific question answered, please click on Email here and submit your query.

Mundus students, here you will find regular posts regarding the universities of the consortium, tips, activities, events, pictures, etc. Apart from checking it regularly to keep yourself up to date, a good way to use the blog is through the search device. We already have a significant amount of information on some universities of the consortium, so if you want to find information on a specific city, type its name in the search field (top left). You will then see all posts related to that specific city (because each post title contains the city's name in it). You can also type "General" in order to find information concerning everybody.

Crossways Student EMA Representative Election 2014 - 2016

Here below (in no particular order) you will find the profiles of the candidates:

Romina Cácia

Hi there!

I am Romina Cácia and I am Brazilian. I am a communicative, happy, responsible and comprehensive person. I majored in Journalism in 2009 and since then I have worked in website, TV, publishing, newspaper and as a Public Relations of a Spanish Business School in my country. Also, in the academic year of 2007-2008 I had the experience of studying abroad in Spain, at Universitat de València. Although I never had the chance to work with Literature, I am always looking foward to it and this is one of the reasons why I decided to specialise in Literary Journalism.

During my scholar life, I participated as a member of the Student’s Union, and as a P.R. I was always in touch with the student’s representative, professors and directors. Those experiences had taught me how important is the dialogue between all of these parts in order to have a pleasant, mature and collaborative relationship. Besides that, I have helped to arrange global alumni reunions. Regarding my experience as a journalist, I am frequently learning the importance of listening and being open up to different cultural richness and their challenges.

Therefore, I would like to run for Crossways student representative because I believe that with my background and your help, I would be suitable for supporting your needs, listening to your concerns, dialoguing and collaborating in order to improve the great experience during our Masters. It would be a privilege to represent you and I would do it seriously and with devotion.

Thank you for your consideration.

Ivana Bulj

Hello,

My name is Ivana Bulj and I am from Serbia. I am 23 years old. I have studied at the Department of Comparative and World Literature at the University of Novi Sad, and in this period I went on a year long exchange program in Warsaw in the Institute of English Studies, which proved to be an incredible experience. Meeting people and making friends, not just from Poland, but from many different countries, has been an amazing opportunity to learn about different cultures, languages and it was one of those things that change one’s perspective. Having spent last year living in Poland, apart from speaking fluently Serbian and English, I have been learning Polish language, and also commenced learning Italian.

I have worked as a translator for one of the biggest publishing companies in Serbia, Službeni Glasnik Publishing Company. Apart from that, I am in the top of my class at the University of Novi Sad, and in the past year I have published two research papers in distinguished Serbian literary magazines.

For four years I have been an active member of the actor’s studio held by renewed actor in Zrenjanin National Theatre, and also helped organize plays; booking spaces, organization of the events and marketing aspects. I enjoy communicating with people from different fields, and learning from them.

I would love to be the student representative for the 2014-2016 generation, because I believe that good communication is one of the best ways to prevent problems and solve issues that may occur. Furthermore, it ensures that both students and professors have a positive experience in the forthcoming years. I believe that I am capable for this task, and would be honored to be chosen.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Ivana
