Welcome

This blog was created as part of the Erasmus Mundus Crossways in Cultural Narratives Masters programme, which is the only one of the EU approved and funded Erasmus Mundus Masters programmes to specialise in traditional humanities with a modern languages background. The Crossways Consortium comprises 6 top-class European universities.

For further information, please check the programme's official website and the universities' websites on the Useful Links section on the left. If you wish to have a specific question answered, please click on Email here and submit your query.

Mundus students, here you will find regular posts regarding the universities of the consortium, tips, activities, events, pictures, etc. Apart from checking it regularly to keep yourself up to date, a good way to use the blog is through the search device. We already have a significant amount of information on some universities of the consortium, so if you want to find information on a specific city, type its name in the search field (top left). You will then see all posts related to that specific city (because each post title contains the city's name in it). You can also type "General" in order to find information concerning everybody.

Besides this, there will be also the Fete de la Sant Joan (22, 23, 24 June) at various places, including Elne, Argeles-sur-mer, Collioure (those are the 3 places where trains/buses stop, direction Perpignan-Cerbère).

Perpignan: Shuttle service to and from the airport

I found out (the hard way) that the timetable for the airport shuttle service in the Perpignan mairie website is wrong.

You shouldn't worry when arriving because the bus time always coincides with flight arrivals. The problem is leaving the city to go to the airport because you may miss the bus and a taxi ride to the airport cost nearly 20€. So, here is the correct timetable for this summer (click on the image below to see it enlarged). I don't know until when it is valid, so it's always good to check in advance.

From the city, you take the bus on the corner of the cafe opposite the train station. The ticket costs 4€ (full price) or 3,50€ (student).

Perpignan: towns nearby

For the ones who are now starting to be able to relax a bit in Perpignan and for the ones coming in September, here is a list of bus timetables to towns nearby.

Just to remind you all, that anyone can get a Pass de Tourisme from the Office the Tourisme (click here for their official website or here for directions). All you have to do is take a picture with you. They do it straight away and it gives you free access to buses for a week.

Perpignan > Cerbère
Collioure and Elne are on the way

Perpignan > La Preste
Céret (The Museum of Modern Art) is on the way

Perpignan > Thuir
Castelnou is very near Thuir, but you have to take a taxi. It's lovely, though.
